Bishop Coleman founded and shepherded the Greater Bethlehem Temple Apostolic Faith Church. At the time of his passing, the Church was one of the largest churches in the Jackson area, and it included numerous ministries, including a prison ministry, a homeless ministry, and a ministry for evacuees of Hurricane Katrina. Bishop Coleman served as a diocesan bishop for the Ninth Episcopal District of the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith.
